Job summary

Interserve is seeking an Engineering Director to lead and develop our engineering team. You will be hands-on in critical technical decisions and guide the team through strategic challenges, while shaping a strong engineering culture and improving processes.

You will mentor engineers towards senior roles and grow a small team into a scalable unit, ensuring delivery excellence within a donation-based funding model that may include partial salary support.

• Degree or professional qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience in software development and proven leadership experience.
• Beneficial: experience with TypeScript, Angular, Node.js, and cloud-based SaaS development.

Description of Assignment

We're looking for an Engineering Director who can serve as a highly technical engineering manager, to lead and develop our engineering team. This role is pivotal in shaping our engineering culture, improving processes and mentoring our engineers as they grow into senior and principal-level roles. You'll play a hands-on role in key technical decisions while also guiding the team through strategic challenges.

Costs and Funding:

Donation-based, may include a partial salary

Minimum duration of assignment: 1-2 years

• Degree or professional qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a relat-ed field.
• Experience in software development and proven lea-dership experience
• Beneficial: experience with Full stack Type Script development, Angular and Node.js, Google Cloud Platform or any cloud provider and SaaS web application development will be beneficial.
• It will also be beneficial to have worked with clients in engineering execution, from ideation to operations, and to have experience of modernising legacy codebases and growing and scaling a small engineering team
