Job summary

Hirslanden Klinik Stephanshorn in St. Gallen seeks an Assistant Physician for the Emergency Department (80-100%) on a fixed-term basis. The role involves 24/7 patient intake under supervision, outpatient consultations, and inpatient admissions for emergency cases.

The position offers targeted training in sonography, and collaboration with partner physicians, with opportunities for part-time shift arrangements and professional development.

Qualifications

• Swiss or recognised foreign medical diploma (MEBEKO).
• One year of clinical prior experience in patient care.
• Interest in interdisciplinary general and emergency medical primary care.
• Willingness to work shifts with good feasibility of part-time requests.
• Innovative, communicative and team-oriented personality.
• Very good German language skills, spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient consultation and inpatient admission of medical and surgical emergency patients under specialist supervision in a 24/7 operation
• Learning targeted diagnostics with independent sonography
• Ordering and assessing further diagnostics according to training level
• Interdisciplinary collaboration with the clinic’s partner physicians
• Active participation in internal and external training programmes
