Meta Reality Labs Research (RL Research) is a team of researchers and engineers pushing the frontier of AI, robotics, and AR/VR technology. We are building the next generation of foundation models for robotic manipulation and seek a Research Engineer to bring these models onto real hardware in our lab.

Qualifikationen

• PhD in robotics, computer vision, ML or related field.
• Industry experience with modern, general-purpose robot platforms.
• Hands-on experience bringing up, calibrating, and debugging a new robot platform.
• Experience running learned policies on real robots and improving performance.
• First-author publications at major conferences or open-source contributions.
• Proficient in Python and PyTorch; open-source contributions welcome.
• Trained or evaluated large 3D generative or world models.
• Fluent in ROS/ROS 2 with calibration know-how.

Aufgaben

• Take foundation models onto real hardware in the lab.
• Handle hardware bring-up, teleoperation, data collection, and policy execution.
• Prototype with researchers and engineers; run experiments and diagnose issues.
• Identify problems that appear when models act in the physical world.
• Collaborate on long-horizon planning and 3D computer vision for robots.
