Zusammenfassung

IEM Group in Switzerland is seeking an Embedded Developer to join a dynamic team shaping the smart parking transformation. You will design, implement and maintain embedded software across products, collaborating with hardware and QA teams.

The role requires strong C/C++, embedded Linux, and Buildroot experience, plus hands-on problem solving and an autonomous mindset. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Plan-les-Ouates, Switzerland.

Qualifikationen

• Higher education in computer science, software engineering or equivalent.
• At least 5 years’ experience in an equivalent position.
• Proven experience in embedded programming required.
• Microcontroller systems and software techniques for power consumption reduction.
• Embedded programming tools and methodology.
• Development, analysis and debugging tools.

Aufgaben

• Participate in the design of new embedded projects.
• Participate in the design of the software architecture and maintain an overview of it.
• Contribute to maintaining architectural coherence and reducing technical debt.
• Develop parts/modules/software autonomously.
• Fix bugs and optimise various products (refactoring).
• Develop software components (applications, libraries, services) under embedded Linux (Go, C, C++).
• Develop, configure and maintain embedded Linux systems, notably using Buildroot for system image generation and rootfs customization.
• Participate in training production staff, technicians, salespeople and clients.
• Document developments and technical choices.
• Participate in product evolution according to client/sales requests.
• Report production malfunctions and monitor dependency evolution.

Your mission

Develop, test, architect and maintain embedded software on various IEM products, as well as identify and propose solutions to internal needs.

Your main responsibilities
