Zusammenfassung

CERN is seeking an Electronics Engineer to work on the CASSIA Project involving testing and design of silicon detector modules for high-energy experiments. You will collaborate in a multidisciplinary team focused on enhancing timing information for pixel detectors.

The role requires strong PCB design skills, experience in laboratory instrumentation, and the ability to conduct electronic measurements. The position offers a monthly stipend between 6372-7004 Swiss Francs, 30 days of paid leave, and comprehensive health insurance.

Qualifikationen

• Experience with assembly and testing of silicon detector modules.
• Practical experience with laboratory instrumentation.
• Ability to design PCBs for test systems.

Aufgaben

• Assemble and test CASSIA sensor prototypes.
• Support signal measurements in laboratory tests.
• Analyse CASSIA2 for time resolution.

Kenntnisse

Knowledge of monolithic CMOS sensors

Experience in testing silicon sensors

Experience in circuit simulation

Working experience in ASIC/CMOS design

Organised and accurate approach

Ability to work in teams

Spoken and written English
