Big Science Sweden is looking for a Mechanical Technician for the ATLAS Cooling System at CERN in Geneva, Switzerland. The role involves contributing to the installation, testing, and operation of complex cooling systems in a demanding environment.

Eligible candidates must have a general secondary education diploma or a shorter non-university degree, along with up to 2 years of professional experience in a technical field. You will work within the ATLAS detector project during Long Shutdown 3.

Qualifikationen

• Initial experience in cooling systems and/or fluidic pipe assemblies.
• Maximum of 2 years of professional experience since graduation.
• No previous CERN fellow or graduate contract.

Aufgaben

• Contribute to the installation of complex cooling systems at CERN.
• Test and commission new cooling systems using various gases.
• Work in a constrained environment of the detector.
