Job summary

Michael Page (Switzerland) is seeking an Electrical Package Manager to own the electrical scope of a major datacenter project. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors and stakeholders, ensuring safety, quality and on-time delivery.

The role requires a trade or higher qualification, at least five years of PM experience, and strong IT and communication skills to manage complex installations and design-and-build environments. Excellent opportunities to influence large-scale delivery.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities of the Electrical Package Manager :

• Manage the electrical systems package throughout project delivery.
• Lead site safety activities in collaboration with project and safety teams.
• Manage project quality assurance processes and documentation.
• Coordinate project schedules with project management, consulting engineers and client requirements.
• Control package-related costs, including labour, subcontractors, materials, plant, equipment, variations and valuations.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Participate in project reviews, engineering reviews, planning meetings and handover meetings.
• Support project close-out activities, including final accounts, O&M manuals, safety documentation and QA records.
• Produce weekly cost and progress reports.
• Identify and communicate project risks, delays and delivery concerns.
• Coordinate material deliveries in line with project schedules.
• Maintain project photographic records.

The Successful Applicant

Successful Candidate for the Electrical Package Manager role :

• Trade qualification and/or relevant third-level qualification.
• Minimum five years of project management experience.
• Proven experience coordinating and managing large installation projects.
• Experience dealing with industrial relations matters.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety requirements.
• Experience within design-and-build project environments.
• Good technical understanding of both electrical and mechanical systems.
• Strong IT skills.
