Job summary

The EFAJE network, serving 31 municipalities in the Gros-de-Vaud area, seeks a Childcare Educator at 88.5% for Garderie de l’Etang in Etagnières (64 places). The role is in the toddler group, with a focus on quality child care, safety, and collaboration with families and external services.

Holder of a tertiary ES/HES diploma or equivalent, Swiss nationality or valid residence permit required. Start date negotiable.

Job description

The EFAJE is a network that brings together 31 municipalities from the Gros-de-Vaud district and surrounding areas wishing to unite their efforts to manage and develop quality day care services in order to better meet the needs of their citizens. To date, three sectors are represented: Family Day Care, which includes around sixty family-based carers, nine preschool structures, and nineteen after-school structures. We are looking, for an indefinite period, for a:

Childcare Educator at 88.5%

The position is located at the Garderie de l’Etang in Etagnières, a facility with a capacity of 64 places. The position to be filled is in the toddler group.

Your missions:

• Ensure quality support for the children cared for, guaranteeing their well-being and safety in accordance with the institutional project and current regulations.
• Identify quality-related issues based on your theoretical knowledge. Propose courses of action and implement them in the child’s best interest.
• Foster a quality relationship and exchanges with families and external services.

Your ability to work as part of a team and adapt, your interpersonal skills, as well as your professional awareness, make you a real asset to the team. A kind and patient personality, you have the capacity to carry out relevant actions independently and with commitment. You are organised and responsible.

Holder of a tertiary ES/HES diploma or equivalent, you have Swiss nationality or a valid residence permit, as well as a clean criminal record.
