Zusammenfassung

TSMG is seeking field data collectors for a 3–6 month project in Switzerland. You will drive routes using 360 removable cameras mounted on the vehicle roof to image streets, main points of interest and public areas across EU coverage.

Applicants should know the area, be reliable, hold a valid driver’s license with a clean record, and possess strong reporting skills. Hours are Monday–Friday, 8 hours per day, with possible weekend work in poor weather conditions.

Qualifikationen

• Must be able to install the cameras on the roof of a vehicle (6 kg in weight and 1 metre in height).
• Private monitored parking space for corporate vehicle a plus.

• Tech savvy (Gmail, Google Forms, Google Meet and WhatsApp).

Aufgaben

• Drive assigned routes across public streets and areas on a 8 hour/day schedule, Monday to Friday.
• Install and secure 360 removable cameras on the vehicle roof for imaging.
• Capture images of streets, points of interest and public areas; report findings clearly.
• Coordinate with the project team and follow safety and reporting protocols.
• Be reliable and flexible for weather-related adjustments and potential weekend work.

Project objective

The goal of the project is to help collect images of streets, main points of interest and public areas in the EU countries. The project is performed on cars with 360 removable cameras, that are mounted by the driver on top of the vehicle. Cameras image the area around the vehicle and store those images on computers inside the vehicle. Later, this data will be used to enhance one the most popular online maps in the world.
The data collectors will be given specific routes around public streets and areas, specifically targeting commercial districts and historical sites. Due to poor weather conditions some areas will be visited multiple times in order to collect the best quality of imaging. The project is expected to last from 3 to 6 months and will cover different data collection areas.
The ideal candidate enjoys driving, knows well the area, traffic trends, is highly responsible and reliable.
The schedule expected on the project is Monday-Friday, 8 hours/day 40 hours per week. Due to weather downtime, work on weekends is possible.
