Job summary

ELLEON in Zürich is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join a technically demanding programme, developing distributed systems software in modern C++ and the training and test applications that support it.

You will design, implement, and test across the full product lifecycle, collaborate with a cross-functional team of about ten developers, and occasionally travel internationally.

Fluent English and German are required, plus hands-on experience with Git, Qt/QML, UML, and unit testing.

Qualifications

• Strong object-oriented C++ skills with experience outside embedded domain (desktop, application, or system level).
• At least basic Qt/QML knowledge and hands-on experience with Git, Visual Studio, UML/software design, and unit testing.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop software for complex distributed systems in modern C++.
• Build and extend training and test applications used across the product lifecycle.
• Develop user interfaces with Qt/QML, collaborating with UX/UI designers (Figma).
• Create software designs and document architecture using UML.
• Write and maintain unit tests to ensure robust, reliable code.
• Get up to speed quickly in legacy codebases and help modernise them.
• Collaborate within agile teams of 10 developers, sharing ownership of technical decisions.
• Support deployments, integration and testing on site, including occasional international assignments.
