Job summary

Tertianum is seeking a Director of Care and Support for the Jolie Automne and Bel Horizon homes in Ecublens, Switzerland. The role is 100% and located on site, reporting to management with a focus on care quality, program development, and staff leadership.

Native French speakers are preferred; German knowledge is an advantage, and a warm, humorous attitude with strong empathy is valued to support the elderly residents.

Qualifications

• Qualified nurse with ES diploma or equivalent training recognised by the CRS.
• Professional and managerial experience in care for several years, with dementia care as an advantage.
• Experience as head of care and support or as a team leader (1–4 years).
• Dynamic manager holding a management certificate.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the quality and implementation of the service mandate and care process.
• Develop the care and support domain for residents.
• Quality and productivity controlling (bed occupancy, recording of services in CareCoach).
• Budget compliance and achievement of sector objectives.
• Coordinate relations with relatives, family doctors, other organisations and insurers.
• Manage care staff and recruit/develop employees.
• Collaborate closely with management.

Your tasks

• Responsible for the quality and implementation of the service mandate and care process

• Organisation and coordination of various interest groups (relatives, family doctors, other organisations and institutions as well as insurers)
• Management of care staff
• Recruitment and development process of employees
• Close collaboration with management

Your profile

• Qualified nurse with ES diploma or equivalent training recognised by the CRS
• Professional and managerial experience in care for several years, with experience in dementia care being an advantage
• At least 1 to 2 years’ experience as head of care and support or at least 3 to 4 years’ professional experience as a team leader
• Dynamic manager holding a management certificate
• Native French speaker, knowledge of German is an advantage
• A warm and humourful attitude
• Great empathy and particular ability to work in a team
