Job summary

Nestlé Research in Lausanne is seeking a Digital Food Safety Early Warning Specialist to enable proactive detection of potential food safety issues by strengthening the evaluation of external scientific signals and evolving digital early warning systems.

You will collaborate with food safety, quality, research, technology and external data partners to turn ideas into sustainable solutions for people, pets and the planet.

Qualifications

• Basic chemistry knowledge and understanding of chemical contaminants.
• Knowledge of food safety and quality processes in supply chains.
• Experience applying data and digital technologies to food safety decisions.
• Ability to collaborate across internal and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Scout and evaluate emerging issues across priority contaminant areas.
• Identify and assess data sources to improve early signal detection.
• Drive evaluation and deployment of digital technologies for data-driven detection.
• Coordinate testing and validation of prototypes for scalable solutions.
• Build scientific collaborations connecting research, technology and business needs.
• Deliver projects with focus, rigor, and impact on food safety decisions.
