Zusammenfassung

DigiTech Search is building a cloud services platform to support IoT product ecosystems. You will assume ownership of DevOps, enabling developers to focus on product delivery while you strengthen reliability, security and delivery capability.

You will drive container orchestration, deployments and release processes, and continuously upgrade tooling to keep the platform current and secure. This is a hands-on, international, growth-oriented role in Zurich.

Qualifikationen

• Experience operating cloud production systems with containerised apps, deployments, monitoring, security and incident response.
• AWS experience preferred; Azure experience welcome to transfer knowledge to AWS when needed.
• Understanding of software delivery and collaboration with developers, APIs and integrations.

Aufgaben

• Own and improve the DevOps capability for an established AWS cloud platform.
• Manage Kubernetes containerisation, deployments, release activity and supporting test processes across the platform.
• Keep services, libraries and tooling current; plan upgrades and replace obsolete components before risks arise.
• Monitor platform stability, availability and security; respond to incidents and third level support needs.
• Improve automation and handover between development and production to make delivery repeatable and efficient.

Join a digital solutions team building the cloud services behind IoT products that are sold globally.

This is a newly created role with clear ownership: you will take responsibility for the DevOps work currently shared by the development team, enabling them to focus on product delivery while you strengthen the platform's reliability, security and delivery capability.

Your responsibilities

• Own and continuously improve the DevOps capability for an established AWS cloud platform.
• Manage kubernetes containerisation, deployments, release activity and supporting test processes across the platform.
• Keep services, libraries and tooling current, planning upgrades and replacing obsolete components before they become risks.
• Monitor and improve platform stability, availability and security, and respond effectively to incidents and urgent third level support needs.
• Make delivery more repeatable and efficient by improving automation, operational practices and the handover between development and production.

What we are looking for

• Hands on experience operating cloud based production systems, including containerised applications, deployments, monitoring, security and incident response.
• AWS experience is preferred. Deep Azure experience is also welcome if you are ready to transfer your knowledge to AWS
• A practical understanding of software delivery and the ability to work effectively with developers, APIs, integrations and connected products.
• A relevant degree or equivalent depth of professional experience.
• Professional English is essential because team meetings and documentation are in English. German is valuable in the wider Swiss business but is not a barrier for an exceptional candidate.
