CSCS, the Swiss National Supercomputing Centre, is seeking a DevOps Engineer to design, deploy, and operate scalable infrastructure and cloud-native services in Lugano or Zürich. The role emphasizes Linux systems, Python, and Kubernetes-based AI/ML and HPC platforms, with CI/CD, GitOps, observability, and security central to daily tasks.

The Swiss National Supercomputing Centre (CSCS) develops and operates a high-performance computing and data research infrastructure that supports world-class science in Switzerland. Its user laboratory is available to domestic and international researchers in academia, industry, and the business sector. The centre is operated by ETH Zurich and has offices at its data centre in Lugano and in Zurich.
For this position the preferred work location is Lugano, but it could also be Zürich.
Successful applications should demonstrate a combination of up-to-date software development and Linux administration skills, the ability to rapidly understand, deploy, and operate third‑party software products, and a solid theoretical foundation in computer science or related fields.
