Syntegon Packaging Systems AG in Beringen (SH) is seeking a mechanical engineer to join a project team responsible for modernising packaging systems. You will manage customer projects from the initial offer to final order and tailor solutions to technical requirements, using SolidWorks for conversions and retrofits.

The role requires several years of experience in mechanical engineering, strong 3D CAD skills, and fluent German and English.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in mechanical engineering or a comparable technical field.
• Several years of professional experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in special machine construction.
• Experience with 3D CAD programs; SolidWorks experience ideal.
• Able to handle complex, technically demanding tasks and enthuse about packaging machines.
• Team player with customer orientation, independent, solution-oriented, proactive.
• Passion for mechanical systems; experience with high-performance product handling.
• Good German and English skills, both spoken and written.

Aufgaben

• Modernisation of sophisticated packaging machines of various vintages as part of a project team.
• Independently manage customer projects from offer to order and find solutions for technical requirements.
• Research older documentation and verify the machine status.
• Implement and design modules and applications for conversions and retrofits using SolidWorks.
• Be the contact person for mechanics for foreign assembly technicians before and during assembly.

What to expect

In this versatile role, you will work as part of a project team on modernisation projects of our packaging systems, making a significant contribution to Syntegon's success.

• You will work on the modernisation of sophisticated packaging machines of various vintages.
• In addition, you will independently handle customer projects from the offer to the order and find the best solution for their technical requirements.
• You will also research older documentation and verify the machine's status.
• You will implement and design modules and applications for conversions and retrofits using SolidWorks.
• For our foreign assembly technicians, you will be the contact person for mechanics before and during the assembly assignment.
• As a member of interdisciplinary project teams, you will work closely with colleagues from the electrical (SW/HW) team, project management, assembly and commissioning.

What you bring

• You have successfully completed a degree in mechanical engineering or a comparable technical field.
• We expect several years of professional experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in special machine construction.
• You are accustomed to working with 3D CAD programmes and ideally have experience with SolidWorks.
• Complex, technically demanding tasks particularly motivate you and you can enthuse about technically sophisticated packaging machines.
• You are a team player with a strong customer orientation, approach tasks independently and solution-oriented, and show great initiative.
• You bring passion for mechanical systems and ideally have experience with high-performance applications in product handling.
• Good German and English skills, both spoken and written, complete your profile.
