Job summary

Flexsis, a partner of the Interiman Group, supports Novartis in Basel with a Data Scientist (m/f/d) on a 6-month maternity cover, 80% workload. The role focuses on modeling multi-modal clinical data to identify biomarkers and therapeutic targets, and on developing pre-clinical models from internal and public data.

Collaboration with Translational Research teams is essential. You will apply AI/ML methods to R&D data, work with large-scale omics datasets, and contribute to publications through

Qualifications

• Proficient in statistics and data modeling for large-scale life-sciences data.
• Experience integrating multi-omics data (genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics).
• Hands-on handling of clinical data with appropriate data governance.
• Experience applying AI/ML methods to R&D data and publishing results.

Responsibilities

• Model multi-modal clinical data to identify biomarkers and therapeutic targets.
• Develop pre-clinical models from internal and public data for projects.
• Collaborate with Translational Research & Data Science teams in wet/dry lab settings.
• Work with external partners in healthcare institutions and contribute to publications.
• Support interdisciplinary decision-making in drug discovery and early development.
