Unique AI in Zurich is seeking a Forward Deployed Data Scientist Team Lead to work directly with financial institutions, building AI Agents using our SDK. You will guide a global client-facing data science team and ensure successful delivery of GenAI solutions.

You'll bridge client requirements with product and engineering, mentor staff, and drive production-grade AI deployments while maintaining high standards for reliability and security.

Qualifikationen

• 7+ years of experience as a data scientist or building ML/AI products, incl. 2+ years developing LLM-based systems; experience in financial services is a plus
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, including tool calling and low-level experimentation
• Production GenAI delivery: designing, deploying, operating and evaluating LLM-based apps, including agentic systems
• History of successfully delivering projects for clients, translating requirements into tailored solutions
• 4+ years of team lead experience, ideally in consulting/FD setup including staffing responsibilities

We are looking for a Forward Deployed Data Scientist Team Lead (FSI Enterprise Solutions), who is passionate about working directly with clients to develop AI Agents using Unique AI’s SDK.

Job Requirements

• Experience: 7+ years of experience as a data scientist or of building ML/AI products, including 2+ years developing LLM-based systems; experience in financial services (hedge funds, asset management, trading, or fintech) is a plus
• Hands-on experience with LLMs: including tool calling and low-level experimentation beyond frameworks, as well as prompt engineering for customer use cases
• Production GenAI delivery: demonstrated experience designing, deploying, operating and evaluating LLM-based applications in production environments, including agentic systems with tool calling and orchestration
• History of successfully delivering projects for clients: translating customer requirements into tailored solutions
• Team lead experience: 4+ years of successful team lead experience, ideally in consulting/FD set up including handling staffing topics on top of team development
• Communication skills: exceptional communication and documentation skills; comfortable working with technical and business stakeholders, including senior client representatives, and communicating clearly when navigating ambiguity
• Languages: English (French and/ or German is a plus)
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, or a related field — or equivalent demonstrated experience shipping production AI systems
