• Engineering degree in an IT-related field or recognized IT qualification with experience in IT security.
• Several years of experience in complex network and firewall technologies, particularly with Check Point and Tufin.
• Proficient with Linux, scripting languages and automation; apply your expertise effectively.
• Strong German and good English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Develop, operate and optimize security solutions for local infrastructures and AWS/Azure cloud environments.
• Collaborate with IT security teams to ensure smooth processes.
• Define, maintain and automate interfaces using network and scripting expertise.
• Advise application managers and project managers on firewall and security issues.
• Handle 2nd/3rd level firewall support and on-call duties.
• Identify, analyze and resolve firewall incidents and compile reports.

In this role, you take responsibility for modern security solutions in hybrid infrastructure and cloud environments and work closely with various IT specialist units. • You develop, operate and optimize security solutions for local infrastructures and for AWS and Azure cloud environments.
• In this role, you work closely with operational IT security and IT specialists from various units to ensure smooth processes.
• You define, maintain and automate interfaces using your network and scripting expertise.
• Your area of responsibility includes providing advice and support to application managers and project managers on firewall and security issues.
• You process 2nd and 3rd level support cases in firewall operations and provide on-call support.
• In firewall operations, you identify, analyse and resolve incidents quickly and regularly compile statistics and reports.
• You configure, test and operate physical hardware for existing and new requirements.
