Job summary

Trafigura in Geneva seeks a Crude Trader to join the crude trading desk. You will own physical trading, book optimisation, and P&L in West Africa and Latin America, while expanding toward the Mediterranean and Atlantic Basin arbitrage opportunities.

You will work with senior traders to deepen knowledge of crude fundamentals, loading logistics, and market dynamics, contributing to global market views and risk management.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years' experience in crude oil physical trading and 3+ years in commodities trading.
• Strong knowledge of West African and/or Latin American crude grades, loading logistics and pricing.
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Trade and develop West African and Latin American crude oil books with physical trading, optimisation, risk management and P&L responsibility.
• Progressively take on the Mediterranean book alongside senior traders.
• Identify and capture arbitrage opportunities from West Africa and Latin America toward Europe, the Mediterranean and the Far East.
