Sparkli is a Switzerland-based AI education technology (edtech) company on a mission to empower young learners through interactive storytelling, gamification, and AI-powered discovery.

We’re seeking a Creative Director to lead the creative vision across all aspects of our product and brand experience. This role is critical to shaping how learners engage with the Sparkli universe and requires advanced creative expertise in GenAI, digital design, motion, and storytelling.

Role Overview

As Creative Director, you will define and drive Sparkli’s creative strategy — from visual identity and animation to user interface design and narrative experience. You will collaborate closely with product, engineering, and curriculum leads to ensure all creative output reflects Sparkli’s vision, values, and educational goals.

Note: This position is based in Zürich, Switzerland, and requires on‑site presence. Remote work is not available due to the highly collaborative nature of this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the creative storytelling across product, brand, and touchpoints.
  • Deliver high-quality visual and motion design for digital experiences, avatars, interactive feedback, and learning environments.
  • Define and evolve design systems and brand guidelines to ensure visual consistency and excellence across teams.
  • Collaborate with creative contributors, including UI/UX designers, illustrators, motion designers, and external vendors.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate educational objectives into immersive, learner-friendly experiences.
  • Oversee the end-to-end production of creative assets — from concept to implementation — across product and marketing channels.
Qualifications
  • BFA or MFA in Design, Communication, or a related creative field (or equivalent professional experience)
  • Strong experience in creative roles in generative AI, product design, interactive storytelling, or gaming environments.
  • Proficiency in Figma, Rive and the Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, After Effects, and Photoshop.
  • Proficiency in generative AI tools, including Sora, Runway, Lyria, Suno, and Veo/Flow.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver advanced visual designs for digital products, with an emphasis on quality, storytelling, and polish.
  • Experience producing and directing motion design and animation for product interfaces, onboarding, or interactive feedback.
  • Familiarity with creative production tools such as Lottie, Spine, Unity, or Blender is a plus.
  • Experience in edtech, children’s media, gamified learning platforms, or related creative technology sectors.
  • Ability to define and communicate creative strategy and systems thinking across teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Multicultural or multilingual design experience is a plus.
