Job summary

Franke Group in Aarburg, Switzerland, is offering a Corporate Sustainability Intern position (60-100%) for up to 12 months. The on-site internship focuses on GHG accounting, data-driven environmental management, and sustainability reporting across the group.

Regular presence at the Aarburg premises is required. You will collect and validate global sustainability data, support reporting systems, and assist with ESG disclosures and stakeholder communications, contributing to CDP, EcoVadis, and UN

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor's or Master's program in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical mindset and interest in environmental data and corporate sustainability.
  • Familiarity with GHG Protocol, LCA, or carbon footprinting is a plus.
  • Proficient in Excel and comfortable handling quantitative datasets.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken) is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Support administration of sustainability reporting systems and databases (e.g., Intelex) with data quality checks.
  • Assist with collection and analysis of sustainability data, including GHG emissions and environmental metrics.
  • Help prepare sustainability reports, presentations, and disclosures for internal and external stakeholders.

About the Role

This internship offers hands-on experience in corporate sustainability, greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting, and data-driven environmental management in an international setting. The internship is limited to 12 months and requires regular on-site presence at our premises in Aarburg.

Your tasks
  • Assist in collecting, organizing, and validating sustainability data from entities worldwide
  • Support the administration of sustainability reporting systems and databases (e.g. Intelex), including data quality checks and documentation
  • Assist with the collection and analysis of sustainability data, including greenhouse gas emissions and other environmental metrics
  • Support the preparation of sustainability reports, presentations, and disclosures for internal and external stakeholders
  • Assist in preparing submissions for ESG ratings, assessments, and sustainability initiatives (e.g. CDP, EcoVadis, UN Global Compact)
  • Conduct research on sustainability topics, reporting requirements, emission factors, and industry best practices
  • Contribute to sustainability projects in collaboration with functions such as Procurement, Operations, and Product Management
  • Assist in developing communication, training, and awareness materials related to sustainability reporting and ESG topics
  • Support coordination activities, including stakeholder follow-up, document management, and tracking deliverables
  • Assist with benchmarking, gap assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives related to sustainability reporting and data management
Your Profile
  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor's or Master's program in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field
  • Strong analytical mindset and interest in environmental data and corporate sustainability
  • Familiarity with topics such as the GHG Protocol, life cycle assessment (LCA), or carbon footprinting is a plus
  • Proficient in Excel and comfortable handling quantitative datasets
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken); is an asset
  • Organized, proactive, and detail-oriented, with the ability to work independently in an international team
