Jobup in Vaud, Switzerland is seeking a maintenance technician to oversee general maintenance of municipal buildings, interiors, and exteriors, plus routine repairs and preventive upkeep. You will ensure proper operation of utilities and prepare spaces for events, while managing openings and closings and waste handling.

The ideal candidate holds a CFC in operations or sanitary installation, speaks French, and is comfortable using chemicals.

Qualifikationen

• CFC certificate or equivalent required.
• Experience in sanitary field preferred.
• Physically fit and able to work at heights; comfortable with chemicals.
• French fluency, written and spoken.
• Driver's license and residence within 30 minutes for on-call duties.

• Manage waste and ensure compliance with environmental standards.
• On-call duties on a rota (evenings and weekends).
• Assist with apprentice training.
• Handle administrative tasks related to the role.

Your mission

• Ensure the general maintenance of municipal buildings, infrastructures and furniture, including interior and exterior cleaning according to defined schedules
• Carry out routine repairs and preventive maintenance of installations and buildings
• Check, maintain and ensure the proper functioning of technical installations (electricity, sanitation, heating, ventilation, security)
• Prepare and restore premises as needed (events, various uses), and manage the opening and closing of buildings
• Maintain cleaning equipment and ensure the proper use of products, including sensitive or toxic products
• Manage waste and contribute to compliance with environmental standards
• Participate in the training of the apprentice
• Perform on-call duties on a rota (evenings and weekends)
• Carry out administrative tasks related to the role

Your profile

• Federal Certificate of Capacity (CFC) as an operations agent or sanitary installer or equivalent training
• Experience in the sanitary field preferred
• Reliable, organised, autonomous and versatile person
• Team spirit and good adaptability
• Good physical condition, comfortable with working at heights and using chemical products
• Good interpersonal skills, especially with children (school environment) and interest in public service
• Fluency in French (spoken and written) and proficiency with common IT tools
• Driving licence and residence nearby (max. 30 minutes) due to on-call duties
