Big Science Sweden is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to join CERN’s Electrical Engineering team in Geneva. In this role, you will support the commissioning and operation of the electrical transmission network, ensuring reliable power distribution during infrastructure upgrades.

The ideal candidate has a master's degree and 2-6 years of experience, or a PhD with maximum 3 years post-graduation. Experience in High Voltage and Low Voltage installations is mandatory.

Join CERN’s Electrical Engineering team to support the operation and commissioning of its electrical transmission and distribution network. We are looking for a motivated electrical engineer with experience in power system testing and commissioning, and solid knowledge of High Voltage and Low Voltage installations and protection systems. You will play a key role in delivering new and upgraded infrastructure during CERN’s Long Shutdown 3 and beyond.

Be sure to meet the eligibility criteria

• By the application deadline, you have a master’s degree with 2 to 6 years of professional experience since graduation or a PhD with a maximum of 3 years of professional experience since graduation. You are not eligible with only a bachelor’s degree.
• You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.
