Job summary

biBerk is seeking a General Liability Claims Representative to handle business owner liability claims, analyze coverage issues, and perform routine claim adjusting. Strong writing and interpersonal skills are essential, as well as knowledge of standard industry liability forms.

Temporary position requiring 3+ years of relevant claims experience or 5+ years without a degree; CPCU or adjuster licenses a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required or 5+ years of relevant claims experience in lieu of degree.
• CPCU or other industry designation is a plus.
• State adjuster license(s) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manages an active desk of general liability bodily injury claims under business owner policies.
• Analyzes coverage issues under Business owners coverage form and other standard forms.
• Analyzes, investigates, and evaluates new loss notices and claim tenders.
• Expedites analysis and positions claims under applicable coverage.
• Collaborates on setting reserves at appropriate levels for claims.
• Documents claim files in accordance with guidelines.
• Obtains and maintains adjuster licenses as required.

Description

The General Liability Claims Representative directly handles business owner liability claims. This position will require the ability to analyze coverage issues, in addition to routine claim adjusting functions. Strong writing and interpersonal skills are essential, as well as knowledge of standard industry liability forms.

Job Responsibilities

• Manages an active desk of general liability bodily injury claims under business owner policies
• Analyzes coverage issues under the Business owners coverage form, garagekeepers, hired non-owned auto, auto services and other standard industry forms
• Analyzes, investigates, and evaluates new loss notices and claim tenders
• Expeditiously analyzes and positions claim under applicable coverage
• Collaborates on setting reserves at appropriate level for claims
• Uses good judgment in managing ALAE in claims investigation
• Appropriately documents claim files in accordance with established guidelines
• Obtains and maintains adjuster licenses, as required

In accordance with pay transparency laws and regulations, the following good faith compensation range estimate is being provided. The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $95,000 per year. Final compensation will be based on candidate qualifications, geographic location, and other considerations permitted by law. This position does not have bonus potential.
