Job summary

The Centravo Group invites applications for an Employee (m/f/d) chemical-analytical laboratory in Lyss, 90-100%. The role covers independent routine analytics including FFA and MOSH/MOAH, calibration and instrument maintenance, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

A shift pattern (two shifts) and German language skills are required. The lab environment includes sensory work and process optimisation tasks.

Qualifications

Completed training as a chemical laboratory technician (or equivalent).
Several years of laboratory experience in the food or pharmaceutical industry.
Good German language skills, spoken and written.
Willingness to work 2 shifts (4:00-12:30 or 12:00-20:30) and one Saturday shift per month.
Precise, independent working style.
Open-minded, communicative, decisive and a team player.

Responsibilities

Independent execution of routine analytics for FFA, POZ, SFC, NIR, refractive index, water content, induction time, drop/melting point, iodine/anisidine value, Dobi value, colour measurement, antioxidant detection, fatty acid spectrum, 3-MCPD, glycidol and MOSH/MOAH for animal and vegetable fats and oils, various special products and collagen.
Documentation and deviation management.
Co-responsibility for maintenance and calibration of analytical instruments and test equipment.
Internal and external stakeholder communication.
Depending on suitability and need: project work on new analytical methods, digitalisation and process optimisation.
Work in the sensory laboratory.
