Qualifikationen

• At least two years' experience in financial and administrative departments of organisations with significant annual budgets (> 1 million CHF).
• Experience with non-profit organisations and knowledge of Swiss laws governing non-profit foundations.
• Experience in scientific institutions is an asset.
• Excellent English speaking and writing skills; strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Working language is English; German language skills are required; proficiency is asset.
• Experience with Abacus Business Software is a major asset.

Aufgaben

• Manage the foundation budget, including balancing previous year’s budget, tracking current year’s budget, and providing budget projections for future years.
• Manage and track in real time the institute’s expenditures and the scientific initiative expenditures.
• Manage the legal obligations of the ISSI foundation related to accounting and reporting.
• Support the interface with the funding agencies: supporting preparation of funding proposals and yearly status reports.
• Support the Executive Director and the Directorate in the budget reporting to the ISSI stakeholders.
• Support the interface of ISSI with its legal and accounting company.
• Managing contracts for Staff and Discipline Scientists.
