Swisslinx AG is seeking a Biospecimen Specialist in Rotkreuz to manage end-to-end biorepository activities and fulfill customer specimen requests in a validated environment. You will ensure compliance with local regulations, quality standards and BAM processes, while coordinating with permitting agencies and internal teams.

Ideal candidates have a Life Sciences degree (BSc or MSc) with 1–3 years in sample-related roles, and strong IT skills with MS Office and Google Suite.

You will join the Biospecimen Acquisition and Management (BAM) team in Rotkreuz, a global service organization with teams across Europe and North America. BAM provides integrated biological specimen solutions supporting the company's Diagnostics' strategy.

As a Biospecimen Specialist, you will manage end-to-end biorepository activities to fulfil customer specimen requests while ensuring compliance with local regulatory requirements, quality standards, business requirements and industry best practices.

Requirements

• Manage and perform biological material processing, registration, shipment, returns, verification activities, retrievals and inventory searches in a validated environment
• Take accountability for end-to‑end project management and biorepository management activities to fulfil customer specimen requests
• Collaborate with relevant permitting agencies, import/export compliance teams, and local Safety and Biorepository Teams to comply with permit requirements
• Maintain compliance with BAM processes, including the collection and maintenance of relevant documentation and the receipt and review of sample data to ensure an accurate and complete sample and data set
• Take responsibility for the accuracy, quality and timeliness of work within supported projects and respond appropriately to changing priorities
• Interface effectively with internal and external stakeholders to establish timelines and meet defined project goals
• Maintain information in a validated Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) compliant with GxP principles and standards

The interview process consists of two rounds: a virtual case study followed by an in-person interview in Rotkreuz.

• Life Sciences Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, combined with 1–3 years of relevant experience in sample acquisition, data management or biobanking OR Life Sciences Master’s degree or equivalent, with some experience in sample management, biobanking or a related area
• Experience handling biological specimens and willingness to work with potentially infectious biological material
• Experience with LIMS or other validated systems
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Suite
• Hepatitis vaccination available
• Ability to lift 10–15 kg
• Ability to follow detailed standard procedures and a strong understanding of biospecimen traceability
• Meticulous attention to detail with a strong commitment to the quality, accuracy and timeliness of biospecimen deliverables
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects
• Good interpersonal skills with proven ability to effectively manage diverse internal and external stakeholders
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Highly motivated, organized, accountable and solution‑driven, with the ability to maintain quality and accuracy while meeting timelines
