Job summary

Lonza is a global leader in life sciences. The Bioprocess Engineer USP will manage operational activities of assigned manufacturing projects, focusing on standardization of equipment and systems at Up Stream (USP) within Manufacturing Complex 2 (6x20kL Large Scale Mammalian) at Visp.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams, drive GMP compliance, participate in capital investment projects, implement regulatory docs, and advance process standardization.

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in biotechnology with relevant experience.
• 5+ years in biotechnology industry (MSc: 3+).
• Experience in mammalian cell culture and primary capture operations.
• Lean Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt and GMP knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement MC2 standardization equipment strategy and roadmap for Visp site and global Lonza SU strategy.
• Lead multi-disciplinary project teams as functional lead for manufacturing aspects of assigned projects.
• Ensure a high level of technical and process standardization within the production plant.
• Work as production expert in capital investment projects for building and commissioning manufacturing units.
• Implement GMP documents and regulatory requirements for SU assets and products.
