Lonza Visp is seeking a Bioprocess Engineer to plan, execute and optimize GMP manufacturing campaigns on site. You will collaborate with Operations, MSAT, Quality and Engineering to ensure high-quality production of life-saving therapies.

This role emphasizes documentation, deviations handling and ongoing process improvements. You should bring a strong background in GMP bioprocessing, plus experience with CAPAs, change controls and risk assessments, and excellent English communication.

Qualifications

• Experience in GMP-regulated biotech/pharma environments.
• Strong knowledge of biotechnological manufacturing processes and documentation standards.
• Experience with deviations, CAPAs, change controls and risk assessments.
• Excellent analytical skills and structured problem-solving approach.
• Good English communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsabilités

• Plan, execute and document GMP manufacturing campaigns with Operations lead.
• Provide technical and organizational support for GMP production and coach staff.
• Create, optimize and review GMP documents (EBRs, SOPs, work instructions).
• Handle deviations, change controls and CAPAs with first-time-right mindset.
• Monitor KPIs and drive improvements using Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen.
• Ensure equipment and facilities stay qualified and compliant; participate in on-call rotations.
• Run cleaning validation and risk assessments related to SHE and Environmental Monitoring.
