CERN is seeking an experienced Data Analyst with a physics background to lead online and offline data processing for the BSRL instrument in the Beam Instrumentation Group. The role focuses on scalable Python pipelines, advanced data analysis, and R&D for LS3 upgrades.

Qualifikationen

• Proven background in advanced analysis of complex experimental data.
• Experience with physics or large-scale scientific installations is preferred.
• Master's or PhD with specified experience bands.

Aufgaben

• Lead redesign and optimisation of Python data analysis software for the BSRL instrument.
• Develop offline analysis routines and cross-correlate with other beam instrumentation.
• Extend diagnostics tools with automated notification systems for anomalies.
• Design software tools and data pipelines for rapid commissioning after LS3.
• Contribute to validation and performance verification of upgraded hardware during LS3.
• Benchmark upgrade scenarios using historical data and simulations.
