NTT DATA, Inc. is seeking a Baremetal & Linux/KVM Engineer (L2) to provide day-2 operations support for server infrastructure, Linux operating systems, and KVM-based virtualization environments.

The role focuses on maintaining stable compute services through proactive operations, troubleshooting, lifecycle management, patching, and automation. German language proficiency (B2) and Swiss citizenship are required, with Winterthur-based availability to align with local operations and stakeholder

Qualifikationen

• Experience supporting Linux-based enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of Linux administration, server hardware, and KVM virtualization.
• Experience troubleshooting compute infrastructure across physical and virtual environments.
• Ability to proactively identify and resolve issues before they impact service delivery.
• Strong analytical skills and adherence to operational best practices.

Aufgaben

• Administer and support Linux server environments and KVM-based virtualization platforms.
• Perform day-2 operational activities including system maintenance, patching, health checks, and performance monitoring.
• Manage server hardware lifecycle activities across Dell PowerEdge and Lenovo ThinkSystem platforms.
• Coordinate firmware updates, operating system maintenance, and infrastructure upgrades.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, operating system, hardware, and virtualization-related issues.
• Support operational automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in incident management, problem resolution, service reviews, and change implementation activities.
• Maintain operational standards, documentation, and governance processes to ensure service stability and reliability.
