Job summary

Sunflower Labs GmbH in Zurich is seeking a test engineer to develop test procedures, run campaigns, and build HITL/SITL test harnesses for our autonomous drone-in-a-box system. You will write automated tests and spend time in the field operating the system to validate performance.

You will own and scale the existing test infrastructure as the system grows, delivering rigorous test reports and driving improvements to reliability and usability on-site in our Zurich office.

Qualifications

• Experience in requirements analysis, test design, and writing test cases.
• Experience with automated testing and simulation tools (GTest, PyTest, Robot Framework, Gazebo, Isaac).
• Programming experience in Python and C++.
• Experience building test infrastructure and engineering tools from early-stage needs.
• Experience in test execution, manual testing, defect tracking and reporting.
• Bachelor or master degree in a relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of and scale our test infrastructure, extending existing capabilities and building new automated test systems.
• Drive the implementation and maintenance of SITL and HITL continuous integration tests.
• Design and execute flight test campaigns to verify system performance.
• Stress-test the system to identify weaknesses.
• Create comprehensive test reports.
• Recommend enhancements to improve reliability and usability.
