Job summary

MSD Malaysia seeks an Associate Director SCM business processes in a Lucerne-based hub to lead key planning, inventory, and production planning processes for financial forecasting and budgeting.

You will work with E2E planners, Product Leaders, and GLP planners to ensure timely deliverables, while maintaining IT infrastructure and collaborating with finance teams. Requires 6+ years in SCM and Kinaxis expertise.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and 6+ years in supply chain management.
  • Proven project management experience and ability to handle multiple projects.
  • Experience in data analysis and manufacturing environments.
  • Proficiency with Kinaxis Rapid Response for scenario planning.
  • Ability to communicate across all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as SME for core processes and lead training/on-boarding.
  • Set timelines and communicate activities to stakeholders.
  • Generate reports, analyze data and present to senior management.
  • Collaborate with E2E planners, Product Leaders, and GLP planners.
  • Maintain and enhance IT infrastructure for business processes.
  • Coordinate with Financial Services (COSI, FP&A, Treasury) for deliverables.
  • Support additional processes including IRL, Qlik reporting, KPI tools, master data.

  • Work with digital support groups on process improvements and system design.

Job Description Associate Direct Global Supply Chain Management Business Processes Summary of Position The Associate Director SCM business processes will be part of a small team under the Lucerne planning Hub that leads key business processes for SCM and Manufacturing Operations. Business processes include Global Inventory, IQV, LROP, and Production Plan development for financial forecast and budget purposes.

Major Activities and Responsibilities
  • Serving as SME for relevant processes as well as leading training and on-boarding meetings.
  • Establishing timelines and communicating key activities to stakeholders.
  • Responsible for generating reports, analyzing data and presenting to senior management.
  • Working closely with the E2E planners and Product Leaders as well as GLP planners to ensure successful execution of business processes.
  • Maintaining, developing, and enhancing IT infrastructure to run the respective business processes.
  • Working closely with various Financial Services departments including COSI, FP&A and Treasury to ensure timely delivery of deliverables.
  • Providing support for a number of other processes, including IRL, Qlik reporting, KPI Reporting tool and master data.
  • Analyze supply chain data to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency gains within the supply chain.
  • Collaborating closely with digital support groups to develop and implement process improvements and system design changes.
Background Requirements
  • Background Requirements Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, logistics, engineering or computer science or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of working experience in supply chain management.
  • Proven project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results on time.
  • Proven experience in supply chain data analysis, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrate mastery of Kinaxis Rapid Response scenario planning platform.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) in English, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels including cross-functionally.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and data integrity.
  • Comprehensive understanding of company product lines and supply chains (physical and financial).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing competing priorities and adapting to change.

  • Solid understanding of supply chain planning principles, including supply network planning and inventory management.
  • Business acumen and strategic thinking abilities to align supply chain operations with overall business objectives.
  • Support strategic decision-making by providing data-driven insights and recommendations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with proficiency in data analysis and interpretation, plus the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Skillful in creating graphs, pivot tables, pivot charts, and creating advanced functions in support of data analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn SQL coding for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn new information platforms as dictated by the needs of the business.

The salary range for the additional location (US) of this role is: {$129,000.00 - $203,100.00} This range reflects the Company's reasonable expectation of the base salary applicable to this role at the time of posting. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, government requirements, and business or organizational needs. The successful candidate will be eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentive, if applicable. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits.
