Job summary

UNCTAD in Geneva invites applications for Assistant Economic Affairs Officer (Temporary Job Opening). Under the supervision of the Chief of the Transport Section, you will contribute to economic and sector analyses, focusing on resilient and sustainable transport and logistics systems.

You will assist in designing, testing, and applying econometric models and analytical tools related to transport, trade logistics and supply chains to support evidence-based policy making.

Qualifications

• Provides support for collecting, evaluating, interpreting, analysing statistics and qualitative socio-economic information pertaining to transport and logistics systems.
• Assists in the design, testing, operation and modification of econometric models and analytical tools related to transport and supply chains.

Responsibilities

• Economic and/or sector analysis: Provides support for collecting, evaluating, interpreting, analysing specified statistics and qualitative socio-economic information obtained from a variety of sources and pertaining to resilient and sustainable transport and logistics systems and supply chains.
• Assists in the design, testing, operation and modification of econometric models, analytical tools and impact assessments related to transport, trade logistics and supply chains.
