Jobbeschreibung

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join the finance team at our client, a manufacturing firm based in Zug. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, experience in the manufacturing industry, and the ability to manage complex financial processes. You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy of our financial operations and contributing to strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee and manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
  2. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with local and international accounting standards.
  3. Reconcile accounts, including inventory, fixed assets, and intercompany transactions.
  4. Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes.
  5. Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to ensure accurate costing and inventory accounting.
  6. Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including VAT reporting, withholding tax, and corporate income tax.
  7. Support external and internal audits, providing all necessary documentation and addressing inquiries.
  8. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.
  9. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing finance team.
Requirements:
  1. 8 months' temporary position in Zug.
  2. Manufacturing company of about 80 employees.
  3. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  4. Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in the manufacturing sector.
  5. CPA, ACCA, or equivalent qualifications are highly desirable.
  6. Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced MS Excel skills.
  7. Strong knowledge of Swiss GAAP and/or IFRS.
  8. Fluency in English is required; proficiency in German is a strong advantage.
