CERN in Geneva invites applications for Applied Physicist/Engineer to join the ATLAS ITk integration team. You will contribute to testing and commissioning of the ITk silicon tracker components, coordinate across institutes, and support integration into the ATLAS detector.

The role requires advanced degree and hands-on experience with detectors, DAQ/software, and a readiness to work onsite at CERN, with allowances for frequent site collaboration.

Formación

• Master's degree or PhD or equivalent in Applied Physics or Engineering or related field.
• Experience in integration, testing and operation of silicon detectors for high energy physics experiments.
• Experience in developing DAQ/online software or detector control systems is advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Test and verify integrated ITk structures and services in surface integration facility.
• Coordinate with DESY/NIKHEF and other institutes for testing and support at sites.
• Develop software and hardware elements for ITk integration testing and validate procedures.
• Document testing procedures and extend them for detector installation and commissioning.
• Participate hands-on in ITk detector integration and cavern installation activities.
