Mimic Robotics in Zürich is seeking an Applied AI Engineer to bridge AI research and real-world robotic applications. You will apply AI methods to new tasks, own model training, and help turn AI capabilities into scalable workflows.

You will build tooling for training, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement, collaborating with AI, robotics, product, and commercial teams to deliver reliable robotics solutions.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS, AI, Engineering, or related field.
• Strong software engineering skills with Python.
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML systems including training and deployment.
• Experience with PyTorch.
• Understand relationship between training data and model performance.
• Ability to build tooling and workflows around AI models.
• Strong ownership to drive tasks end-to-end.
• Excellent English communication.
• Nice to have: deploying AI models on real hardware and working with industrial customers.

Aufgaben

• Apply existing AI methods and training recipes to new customer tasks and robotic applications.
• Own model training runs, evaluation, and iteration to improve performance.
• Monitor training data quality, coverage, and collection progress.
• Develop tooling and workflows to train, deploy, monitor, and improve AI models.
• Translate learnings from customer projects into requirements for AI capabilities and product workflows.
• Assess technical feasibility of new customer tasks with our robotic systems.
• Collaborate with AI, robotics, product, and commercial teams to deliver applications from concept to reliable operation.
