Job summary

APCO Technologies SA in Switzerland seeks a senior mechanical engineer to lead a 7-person team on space projects. You will manage competencies, budgets, analyze customer specifications, justify and optimize designs for static, dynamic and thermal environments, and prepare technical documents for vibration and acoustics tests.

Fluency in English and French, Master degree or equivalent, and 10 years in flight equipment are required.

Qualifications

• Master degree or equivalent is required.
• 10 years’ experience on flight equipment or related mechanical systems.
• Fluency in English and French, written and spoken, able to defend technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Manage and animate a team of engineers.
• Maintain competencies and stay aware of new techniques and developments.

• Justify and optimize structures’ design to standards in static, dynamic and thermal environments.

• Minimum 10 years’ experience on flight equipment.
• are able to perform all mechanical analyses types: static, modal, frequency response, shock, vibro-acoustic, thermal and thermo-elastic for metallic and fiber reinforced materials.
• master Nastran. The knowledge of FEMAP would be an asset.
• know ECSS standards.
• are fluent in English and French, written and spoken, capable to defend r technical solutions in both languages.
• Good organization skills, autonomy and efficiency are required, completed with and a real driving force.
