Garda Capital Partners is seeking a Software Engineer Intern (AI Internal Tools) for a 6-month internship to build and improve internal systems, tools, and infrastructure. You will work with the AI Lead and cross-functional teams to deploy reusable, secure software for firm-wide workflows.

Ideal candidates are strong technical students who learn quickly, own code quality, and apply solid engineering judgment.

Qualifikationen

• Pursuing a Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Quantitative Finance.
• Demonstrated software-development experience through coursework, internships, personal projects, or similar work.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language and willingness to learn new languages and tools.
• Strong software-engineering fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, debugging, testing, and version control.
• Interest in backend services, APIs, or developer/infrastructure tooling.
• Clear written and verbal communication; able to collaborate with technical and non-technical colleagues.
• Interest in practical AI systems and AI-enabled development is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Build and improve internal applications, backend services, APIs, and integrations that bring AI capabilities into firm workflows.
• Contribute to shared AI platform capabilities, such as gateway services, access and identity integrations, monitoring, observability, and support tooling.
• Deliver small, production-minded features with design, implementation, testing, and documentation.
• Help evaluate AI models, tools, and internal AI applications; contribute to evaluation methods and benchmarks.
• Identify recurring needs and turn them into reusable components and automation across teams.
• Work with engineers, security, compliance, and internal users to build robust solutions.
• Maintain ownership of code quality, correctness, security, reliability, and maintainability.
• Support and improve existing systems by investigating issues and improving documentation.
