Job summary

Belimo is seeking a senior software delivery lead to steward complex software and digital product initiatives in an Agile environment in Zürich. You will align business goals with engineering execution, drive predictable value-driven delivery, and elevate cross-functional collaboration across teams and stakeholders.

You will oversee release planning, roadmaps, forecasting, and risk mitigation while promoting continuous improvement, transparency, and high-quality software delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree in a technical discipline as listed.
• Several years leading software development or technology projects in Agile settings.
• Strong knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, Lean, or SAFe.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional software teams and managing stakeholder expectations.
• Solid understanding of SDLC, release management, backlog management, and Agile delivery.

Lead the delivery of complex software development and digital product initiatives in a highly collaborative Agile environment. You will align business goals with engineering execution, ensure predictable and value-driven delivery, and drive continuous improvement across teams, processes, and release practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of complex software and digital product projects, balancing scope, timeline, quality, and business value.
• Coordinate dependencies across development teams, Product Owners, architects, quality, cybersecurity, IT, and business stakeholders.
• Drive roadmap execution, release planning, and delivery forecasting aligned with strategic priorities.
• Establish transparency through Agile planning, dashboards, delivery metrics, and reporting.
• Identify and mitigate risks, dependencies, and delivery obstacles to ensure successful outcomes.
• Facilitate stakeholder alignment, communication, and decision-making across all organizational levels.
• Support Agile ways of working and foster continuous improvement through retrospectives and delivery reviews.
• Coordinate product releases, go-live activities, and post-release follow-up to ensure smooth deployments.

Required Expertise

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Several years of experience leading software development, digital product, or technology projects in Agile environments.
• Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, Lean, or SAFe.
• Proven experience coordinating cross-functional software teams and managing stakeholder expectations.
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle, release management, backlog management, and Agile delivery practices.
• Hands‑on experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Planview, or similar platforms.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and analytical skills with the ability to influence decision-making.
• Strong English skills; advanced German is highly desirable. Agile certifications are a plus.
