Merck in Switzerland seeks an Agentic AI Specialist to join our Digital Innovation & AI Enablement team. This role builds real AI systems that deliver measurable business value and move beyond experimentation to production.

You will design, prototype, deploy, and continuously improve AI solutions, aligning automation with business priorities while enforcing responsible AI and compliance standards. Collaboration with data scientists and process designers is essential.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on AI/ML solution development, with at least 1–2 years on Agentic AI or LLMs.
• Strong Python proficiency and production-grade AI architectures.

Your role

We are looking for an Agentic AI Specialist to join our new Digital Innovation & AI Enablement team. This is a newly created role for a hands-on AI builder who is ready to move beyond experimentation and drive the industrialization of AI solutions at scale. You will be a core member of a team dedicated to identifying, designing, and deploying AI-powered solutions that enhance operational performance and future-proof our organization. Your main responsibilities:

• Design, prototype, deploy, and continuously improve Agentic AI solutions and reusable orchestration frameworks (from concept to production)
• Align automation pipelines with business priorities while enforcing responsible AI principles and compliance standards (including GxP)
• Partner with Data Scientists, process designers, and business stakeholders to deliver integrated and scalable solutions
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies and empower citizen developers by actively contributing to our internal AI Community of Practice

Your profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, or a related field
• 3+ years of hands-on experience in AI/ML solution development, at least 1-2 years focused on Agentic AI, large language models (LLMs), or intelligent automation
• Strong Python proficiency. Deep expertise in Agentic AI frameworks, prompt engineering, AI orchestration, and scalable, production-grade architectures.
• Experience in regulated industries (pharma, manufacturing) is a strong advantage
• Preferred certifications: AI/ML Engineering, Agentic AI platforms, Cloud AI services, Agile delivery
• Strategic & Action-Oriented: Translates business challenges into practical AI solutions with a delivery-focused mindset
• Collaborative Communicator: Easily explains complex AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders and drives cross-functional teamwork
• Curious: Intellectually driven with a continuous learning mindset
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
