Job summary

Destinusgroup in Payerne, Switzerland, seeks a Structural Design Engineer to own the CAD design of aeronautical structures from concept through production support. You will work with Siemens NX to design flight structures, test jigs, fixtures, and production equipment, and collaborate with Stress, Propulsion, and Avionics engineering to deliver end-to-end design packages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of industry experience in structural or mechanical CAD design.
• Proficiency in Siemens NX for part modelling, drafting, and assembly design.
• Solid knowledge of GD&T and aerospace drawing standards.
• Experience with DFM/DFA and manufacturability considerations.

Responsibilities

• CAD design of aeronautical structures in Siemens NX, including detailed part modelling and assembly modelling.
• Design test jigs, fixtures, and production equipment for structural testing and qualification.
• Prepare engineering calculations, analyses, and documentation to support design decisions.
• Create and maintain design documentation: drawings, specifications, BOMs, and configuration records.
• Coordinate with Stress, Propulsion, and Avionics to integrate requirements and resolve manufacturing issues.
