Job summary

Audi Revolut F1 Team is seeking a Correlation Engineer in Hinwil (CH) or Bicester (UK). You will work within the CFD Group to align aerodynamic predictions from CFD with WT tests and real-world performance. Strong CFD, Python, and data analysis skills are essential, with opportunities across seniority levels.

The role is full-time, based at Hinwil or Bicester. Candidates should have a MSc/PhD in a relevant field and 3+ years in race car aerodynamics, with OpenFOAM and CAD experience

Qualifications

• MSc or PhD in Mathematics, Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with a CFD focus.
• 3+ years in race car aerodynamics or performance evaluation, CFD experience preferred.
• Experience in CFD/experimental data analysis and comparison.
• Knowledge of CFD methods and their application.
• Familiarity with Python and Linux.
• Experience with OpenFOAM and CAD tools.

Responsibilities

• Work with CFD methodology, Aero Performance and Aero Development to improve CFD tool confidence.
• Understand CFD model limitations and validate improvements.
• Contribute to overall CFD process improvements and tool development.
• Support the aerodynamic correlation group with data analysis and interpretation.

The Correlation Team, which sits within the CFD Group and alongside the Methodology team, is responsible for understanding and improving the agreement between aerodynamic prediction based on CFD tools and WT tests as well as real-world performance.The position is open to candidates across a broad range of seniority levels, from junior to senior.
