MPHA 5P10: Social Marketing and Health Communication

Compensation

Effective September 1, 2024 - $7,471.08 per half course (195 hours nominally)
Effective September 1, 2024 - $14,942.17 per full course (390 hours nominally)
Please note: Instructors who are employed in a 2-hour/week lecture, or the equivalent of a 2-hour/week lecture, are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course.

Duties

Duties and responsibilities will be in accordance with Article 22.01 of the Collective Agreement. These include scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom time (preparation of lectures, student consultation, marking and grading and course administration, including grade appeals and cases of academic dishonesty).

Qualifications

1. A graduate degree (Masters or PhD) in Applied Health Sciences or related field required.

2. Minimum 5 years Industry experience in direct marketing practice.

3. Experience in social marketing and/or public heath marketing preferred.

4. Previous experience teaching online graduate level public health courses in social marketing and/or health communication preferred.

5. Evidence of competent and effective teaching experience at the university level (letters of reference and course/performance evaluations).
