A leading manufacturing company in Canada is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Tradesperson. You will work with a team to ensure mill equipment availability through effective maintenance strategies. Ideal candidates will have an Industrial Mechanic Red Seal and 2-5 years of experience in heavy industry. This role requires problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. The position operates on a hybrid shift schedule: four days on, followed by four days off.
Qualifications
- 2-5 years’ experience in maintenance.
- Previous maintenance experience in heavy industry.
- Journeyman Pipefitter considered an asset.
Responsabilités
- Ensure mill availability is maximized efficiently.
- Conduct inspections and repairs to mill mechanical equipment.
- Collaborate with Operations and other departments.

As a Mechanical Maintenance Tradesperson, you will work with a team of fully flexible tradespersons to ensure mill availability is maximized in an efficient manner. With a focus on reliability and Predictive / Preventative maintenance, you will be involved with inspections and repairs to a variety of mill mechanical equipment.
Qualifications- Industrial Mechanic Red Seal
- Journeyman Pipefitter considered an asset
- 2-5 years’ experience
- Previous maintenance experience in heavy industry would be considered an asset
- Journeyman Welder (F3, F4 Pressure Pipe ticket, Tig & Mig) would be considered an asset
- Problem solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work shift work - 4 days at a time
In addition to your immediate team, you will work closely with other departments, which consists of Operations, Mechanical Maintenance, Supply & Services and E/I. Together with your team, you will help execute the strategies and initiatives that drive safety, environmental compliance, quality, and production goals. This opportunity is on our hybrid maintenance shift, consisting of four days on, four days off.
