Job summary

DXC Technology Inc. is seeking a Zscaler Site Reliability Engineer to join onsite in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The role focuses on reliability, automation, observability, and operational excellence for mission-critical services in a secure cloud environment.

You will collaborate with engineering and operations teams to troubleshoot issues, support CI/CD, and implement Zero Trust technologies. A strong automation mindset and programming experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of relevant SRE/DevOps experience.
• Must hold Security Clearance with Canadian government.
• Strong networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP).
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Proficient IaC and automation skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve reliability, scalability, and performance of cloud infrastructure and services.
• Implement and support monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions.
• Automate operational tasks and infrastructure management through scripting and IaC.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and application issues.
• Support CI/CD processes and deployment automation.
• Assist in the implementation and support of Zero Trust and secure access technologies, including Zscaler solutions.
• Contribute to capacity planning, incident response, problem management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in system performance reviews and reliability engineering activities.

About The Role

DXC Technology is seeking a Zscaler Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) willing to go through a Security Clearance with the Canadian government, hence the applicant must be a Canadian Citizen with 10 years verifiable history on Canadian soil, This role will support a highly secure cloud and network infrastructure environment, focusing on reliability, automation, observability, and operational excellence for mission-critical services. The successful candidate MUST reside in the Ottawa area as work is exclusively onsite at a client location in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

What You'll Do

• Maintain and improve the reliability, scalability, and performance of cloud infrastructure and services.
• Implement and support monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions.
• Automate operational tasks and infrastructure management through scripting and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and application issues.
• Support CI/CD processes and deployment automation.
• Assist in the implementation and support of Zero Trust and secure access technologies, including Zscaler solutions.
• Contribute to capacity planning, incident response, problem management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in system performance reviews and reliability engineering activities.
• Other duties may also be assigned.

Who You Are

• Minimum 6 years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), DevOps Engineer, Cloud Engineer, Systems Engineer, or similar role.
• This role requires Security Clearance with the Canadian government, hence the applicant must be a Canadian Citizen with 10 years verifiable history on Canadian soil.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, routing, and switching.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Terragrunt, or Ansible.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience developing automation using Python, Go, Java, or similar programming languages.
• Experience with monitoring and observability platforms.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience supporting large-scale production environments.
• Knowledge of Zero Trust architectures and Zscaler technologies is considered an asset.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Work Environment

Work is performed onsite at a client location in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. This position is at a client site in Ottawa.
