The National Capital Region YMCA Youth Education Support Program is a new program that aims to provide academic tutoring one-to-one supports workshops life skills mentorship and mental health supports to vulnerable students at key transition points (grade 11 12 and first-year post-secondary). The Youth Education Support Program aims to build on existing partnerships with academic and community organizations. Additionally it aims to support learners who face greater barriers to education persist in their studies and prepare for future academic and social success.
Under the supervision of the Program Manager the candidates principal responsibility is ensuring the effective operation of the program namely the accompaniment and support of learners (grade 11 12 and first year post secondary) through a variety of workshops that focus on : career readiness social-emotional awareness mindfulness tutoring study skills digital literacy and more.
