Qualifications

• Experience with the challenges facing youth experiencing homelessness or housing instability.
• First Aid & Non-Violent Crisis Intervention is an asset.
• Ability to adapt decision-making based on circumstances.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome youth accessing services.
• Initiate, develop and maintain professional relationships with youth.
• Provide crisis intervention and document client notes as required.

Skills

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to work with youth experiencing complex mental health challenges

Strong situational awareness

Familiarity with at-risk youth

Knowledge of Trauma-Informed Practice

Education

Diploma or degree in related social service

Minimum 3 years full-time working experience in a similar low barrier role
