Job description
Contract Period

From 1 January 2026 to 31 October 2026

Working Hours
  • Monday to Friday: 12.00 p.m. to 4.00 p.m.
  • Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays.
Scope of Services
  1. Specialised Support and Connection with HNS
    • Provide tailored support and guidance across various HNS programmes to foster meaningful connections.
    • Cultivate an inclusive and supportive atmosphere conducive to growth and engagement.
  2. Monitoring and Reporting
    • Maintain comprehensive records, sharing insights on HNS development with the Core Team and Form Teachers.
    • Track individual student by providing interpretive anecdotes and assessments of HNS progress, attendance, personal experiences such as challenges, and achievements during the programmes.
    • Termly share progress with staff during Connect Time.
    • Semesterly share progress with school leaders.
  3. Supporting HNS through Project Programme
    • Plan, implement and review a group mentoring after school programme to engage HNS focusing on building self-worth, mindfulness, resilience and compassion.
    • Provide tailored experiential learning, cultivating communication skills, diverse perspectives, and mutual support.
  4. Supporting HNS through Homework Support Club
    • Foster a conducive environment within the Homework Club to aid HNS in completing their homework effectively.
    • Offer personalised assistance to HNS, aiding in structuring their homework schedule, monitoring learning advancements, and cultivating positive study habits and attitudes while providing academic support whenever possible.
    • Facilitate relationship‑building through individual or small‑group activities when homework tasks are progressing satisfactorily.
  5. Conducting Conflict Resolution Clinic
    • Conduct a weekly conflict resolution clinic during recess for the students.
    • Train and empower HNS to support as peer mediators.
  6. Conducting Staff Workshops
    • Support staff development by conducting appropriate staff training workshops that will aid in the support of HNS.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
  1. Must be registered with MOE.
  2. Must have at least three (3) years of direct experience working with children / youths at‑risk and demonstrated strong ability to engage and establish trust with high needs or at‑risk children / youth populations.
  3. Must have at least three (3) years of experience working in primary school settings in roles that directly support student development. This includes supporting students with behavioural, emotional, or learning needs through targeted interventions, mentoring, or developmental programmes, and engaging them across various learning domains such as music, art, and physical activities.
  4. Hold a degree from a recognised institution, such as the National University of Singapore (NUS), Nanyang Technological University (NTU) etc.
  5. Be an accredited mediator from a recognised mediation body, such as the Singapore Mediation Centre, Singapore International Mediation Institute etc.
  6. Be a certified Art and Music Instructors Scheme (AMIS) instructor.
  7. Hold certification in Early Childhood Education, Child or Adolescent Development or equivalent.
  8. Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing conflict resolution workshops for students or children/ youths and is able to provide a minimum of one reference or documented evidence of conducting these workshops, detailing scope, content, and outcomes.
  9. Proven experience in maintaining detailed, accurate records related to student engagement, progress tracking, and reporting.li>
  10. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, particularly with youth, educators and parents.
  11. High level of cultural competence and understanding of socio‑emotional issues faced by at‑risk students.
  12. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with school teams, including Year Heads, teachers, counsellors, and other stakeholders.
