Friends of Ruby ( FoR ) is dedicated to supporting the well‑being of 2SLGBTQIA+ youth aged 16-29 through mental health services, social programs, and housing. We operate a Youth Drop‑In Centre , offering barrier‑free counselling, hot meals, and community programming, and a Transitional Home , providing emergency and long‑term housing with life‑skills support.

We are looking for individuals to support our warming centre , which offers a vital refuge during the harsh winter months, providing 2SLGBTQIA+ youth with safety, comfort, and affirming support when they need it most. The warming centre will run from December 2025 to April 2026. Staff are needed for 8‑hour shifts, mainly on Saturdays or Sundays, and on an on‑call basis as required .
